As Paul Newman once said: If you are in a game of poker and you look round the table and haven't figured out who the sucker is... then its you!

ONLINE CRAPS

Learn How to Play Online Craps

Craps is a very enjoyable game, especially for novices who are just entering the world of gambling. Craps is exciting, too. To prove this, all you need to do is to enter a casino and walk up to the craps table, and you can be sure that you’ll be met with a fast-paced scene, with energized players, and more noise than is healthy – still, all in the name of fun, right?

In a game of craps, you’ll see all types of gamblers, misers and high-rollers alike. But mostly, this game attracts the high-rollers. That doesn’t mean a beginner can’t play though. In fact, craps is perfect for beginners. It’s because you don’t really need any real skill to play this game. It’s easy to understand so you can be sure that the odds of winning in a game of craps are better than roulette, blackjack, slots, and even baccarat.

What is Craps?

Craps, primarily, is a dice game that is based on chance. If you can’t picture what this game is like, then try to envision those Las Vegas movies where a player would ask a blond woman to blow on the dice for luck, and the melodramatically toss the dice into the table. Yep, it’s that game. See? I told you it was exciting.

The Dice

Internet Blackjack Anyway, there are two pieces of dice rolled in the game. Each player around the table would take turns with the dice in a series of rounds. And the first throw in each new round is called the ‘come-out roll’. The person holding the dice would be called the ‘shooter’.When the dice stabilizes on the table, the total is counted. If the total happens to be 7, 11, 2, 3, or 12, on the first throw or at the come-out roll, then the game will be restarted. 2, 3, and 12 are called ‘craps’, meaning that if they come out, you automatically lose. But even if you’ve already lost, you still have to continue playing until you get an actual seven. If you get 7 or 11, then they are wins, and you subsequently get the equivalent of your bet. By now, you must be wondering what happens if the other numbers come out. Well, what happens is that the total becomes the ‘point’. The dice will have to be rolled over and over again until the point comes out again, which would herald the end of that round and herald the start of a new one. If you roll a seven before you get the number that was your point, however, you will lose.

Online Craps Tips & Tricks

The best craps tips that we can offer you relate to craps etiquette and other aspects of the game that you may find unclear. It is extremely important to know how to behave at the craps table. After all, you do not want to offend anyone, do you? You are there to have fun, and so is the person next to you.

If you are a beginner player then keep on reading. The tips presented below will clear up any uncertainties that you may have. If you do not want to look like a novice then just read the tips presented below. Do not look for logic in the way they are sorted. The order in which they are presented does not matter. All the tips are just as valuable.

Tips #1

Do not rush in. You should first watch for a while and get the feel of the game. While you are watching the dealer may offer you the dice and ask you to be the shooter. Remember that you can always turn him down. He will just move on to the next person and nobody will feel offended. Just watching the game or simply betting on a shooter is always an option.

Tips #2

If you have bet "against the dice" then keep your enthusiasm to yourself. The worst mistake that you can make is to shout or even whisper "Seven". Craps players are very superstitious and consider this bad luck. If the shooter indeed rolls a 7 and sevens out then all the people that have made "with the dice" bets will frown upon you.

Tips #3

There are some rules that you must follow when throwing the dice. First of all the dice must hit the opposing wall and the dice should bounce of it. It is ok if you slip up once. Just don't let it happen again. Also when throwing the dice you should do what is known as "feeding the chickens". This simply means that you should make an underhanded upward flick of your wrist when throwing the dice.

Tips #4

Make sure to always use just one hand when handling the dice and never take the dice beyond the edge of the craps table. If you do otherwise you will be suspected of trying to cheat.

Tips #5

If you notice that a dealer has made a mistake feel free to correct him. Nobody will feel offended by this. Mistakes happen all the time and it is in your interest to point them out when you notice one. The best part is that most of the times the casino will resolve these disputes in favor of the player. The reason behind this is that the casinos want to keep everybody at the craps table. They will concede in favor of the player as long as everybody keeps on happily gambling.

Tips #6

You do not have to place all the bets. The only bets that you should be placing yourself are the pass line bets, don't pass, the field, come bets, and your odds bets. All other bets should be handled by the Stick person. If you want to place a bet and you cannot reach the betting area just toss your chips in the direction of the betting area and then tell the Stick person on what bet to place those chips. Just be careful when throwing the chips. If you are not careful they can end up scattered all over the craps table.

Tips #7

Remember to always leave a tip. Tips are a significant form of income for the dealers. So especially when you are winning you should leave a bet. There are two ways to tip the dealers. The first one is to simply give them some tips. The second one is a bit more subtle. It involves placing a bet in the name of the dealer. If the bet wins the dealer will collect those winnings and that will be his tip.
